I receive an ezine that takes that approach - I have never tried it myself... mostly because "the voice" of a proclamation like that doesn't fit with "the voice" of my ezines.

I appreciate it, though - and it can combat busy people with a lot of stuff in their email box, perhaps enticing them to read rather than delete!
