Question for a beginner ezinerViews: 844

Marguerite Wright
I am a beginner in creating ezines and I have been following the post on what is the best way to post ezines, but I have a basic question, what is the best way to start an ezine? Right now I just have a company website where people can go and order herbal products. I am in the process of getting a personal website where I can do online consultations and I want people to be able to sign up to my ezine when they come to my website. Right now I have a yahoo group started that I plan on promoting as a newsletter to gain healthy information. What are some other inexpensive or free ways to set up an ezine?

Thanks!

Hi Marguerite,

Welcome to the cafe, glad to have you. There are many low cost or free ezine hosting solutions available to you. Of course, I'm a bit biased towards my company http://EZezine.com where you will have access to all of the tech tools you will need to launch an ezine.

For a complete "How To" guide on literally everything that you could ever need to start an ezine, I'd like to direct you to the pre-release of my new ebook "Start Your Ezine: The Complete Fluff-Free Guide for the New Publisher." The e-book which has gained quite a bit of critical acclaim is available here: http://StartYourEzine.com As a new ezine publisher, I think you'll find the information and the hand-holding step-by-step worksheets comprehensive and about all you will ever need to get your ezine launched.

Best,
lisa

Hi Cathy-

Thanks for your eagerness to spread the word about Start Your Ezine book! Currently, I do not have an affiliate program available, but that may be changing down the road a bit.

best,

Hi Marguerite

My first advice to you is start a simple website of your own. Put your Newsletter subscription box on your home page and drive targeted visitors to your site. Your money is in your list.

I have a few tips about publishing a newsletter/ezine.

1. Never loose sight of your subscribers, cultivate loyalty and repore with them. You and everyone publishing knows the value of a loyal readership. You can do this by giving your readers articles that they are interested in. Run a survey in your newsletter. You will get good response, which will help you build your newsletter into an interesting publication that your readers will look forward to.

2. Build your list with targeted subscribers. This is the key to success. Bigger is not always better.

3. Cheap and reliable autoresponder Proautoresponder.com

Your ezine will only cost you the price of your autoresponder and your time.

I hope these tips help
if you need any help please do not hesitate to contact me
