I've uploaded an excel spreadsheet to the web with 66 articles directories and a few ezine article swap sites. You can download it and save it to your desktop. Some of the info in it came from Bea Fields (http://www.fivestarleader.com) and Dale Noles
(http://www.virtualaccuracy.com). I've found submitting articles to article directories wonderfully helpful for building my reputation on the web and generating business... But I don't do the article submissions myself. It takes a lot of time. I have the folks at http://www.virtualaccuracy.com do it for me. Because in order to really make article submission worthwhile you have to plaster your articles and you have to continuously supply new content. I wouldn't be able to keep up with it if it weren't for the VA help I get.

Writing and submitting articles is the primary way I built my business - from scratch.
This list is very thorough - thank you for that.
I have also found that simply submitting to the email lists works very well. I can submit to many lists simultaneously instead of the more time consuming listing to article directory sites.
I got my start long ago with Ideamarketers - I can still remember the first time one of my articles was named a top submission of the week... it was SUCH an exciting moment!
I have timed my publication of my ezine to submitting my articles - I have it to an art form where the whole process can take less than 20 minutes.
I simply have a submission template ready to go so once I publish my ezine, I can offer my article for republication in a couple clicks of the mouse.....

I'm brand new here and couldn't help but find this post. Mostly I joined because I'm about to create an ezine for my MarketingForHer.com website and thought it might be a good idea to jump in, read some posts and avoid some of the pitfalls.
Just thought this might be helpful to some people here. Another ryzer posted this list at his network a couple weeks ago. I'll be honest - I haven't used the list yet - however it's a great place to start.

Well, that should keep us busy for a while! Thanks for the resource.
I've been doing a lot of research this morning on article submissions, and I'm finding it interesting how different submission sites approach submissions.
For instance, on some you need to post a subscription form to the submission site on your own site. On others you need to become a site member and subscribe to *their* ezines in order to submit. On yet other sites, you can simply submit articles.
Read the fine print. Don't sell your content or your soul for the sake of a submission!
